A.S.I.D American Society of Interior Designers William McWhorther ASID Los Angeles LA Chapter President

Installation of new officers and awards presentation for 2006-2007 was held in the
Ebell Los Angeles on Monday September 18, 2006 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

The event was hosted by Fernando Diaz, ASID, CID, the former Chapter President.
The awards were presented by: Sybil J.B. Van Dijs, ASID, CID, the Chapter
President 2005-2006.

The event received a warm welcome by many of the members and other guests as
you can see in the pictures taken in the front yard before the ceremony started. The
new ASID Los Angeles Chapter President, William McWhorter was installed and
sworn in a friendly and pleasant atmosphere.

Bill McWhorter's first acknowledgment in the design world was published in the
magazine Interior Design while he was a student of interior design at Ohio State
University. He was honored as one of the top graduating students from colleges
across the nation. Shortly after entering professional life, he became a member of
the A.S.I.D. (American Society of Interior Designers) and has served on the Board of
Directors of the Los Angeles Chapter for three terms.

In his short speech, Bill talked about his plans and mentioned we all should work
hard to let everybody know what ASID is all about. We should spread the "word".

We wish him the best of luck and will help him in any way we can to promote our
chapter.
